I dont understand why she took so many risks. If she knew the guy was so crazy/dangerous, why didnt she immediately go to the police instead of complaining to his employer, getting him fired and obviously leading to him being very angry? Also, if this friend knew he had multiple personality disorder, why didnt he inform the college that it was hiring a mentally unfit person? The college cant give a mental evaluation to every potential employee, but at least if someone has reason to suspect, they should feel some obligation. Maybe this could have been prevented with some common sense.Students, think before you act and dont get involved with your teachers no matter how much of a crush you have on them. So sad such a smart girl made such a stupid mistake of getting involved.

Yes, it's important that we all take a moment to blame the victim. Clearly this was her fault. Bustamante's friends should bear the brunt as well. Literally a deadly lesson for us all.

Glad my tax dollars are not paying for this lunatic, and all of his personalities, to enjoy prison life.

Help! narcissist victim? : Narcissistic Personality Disorder Forum
I havebeen in an 11 year (yes 11 years) with a man of whom i know ABSOLUTELY NoTHING -- i have suffered a breakdown and have been diagnosed as bi-polar which i feel has been exacerbated by this relationship. I believe he is a narcissist, but my friends do not understand the damage he has done to me and I need some response from those who have also suffered. I met him on the internet - he was very very charming and said all the right things - we met and he was a bit weird but i put it down to shyness (although he was arrogant!) - within months he was on my doorstop having given up his job and looking to move in. I KNOW this is peculiar behaviour but he made it seem that he loved no ADORED me so much that he was unable to live without me. He moved in and it became apparent that drink was involved - he was jealous all the time - i had to sack the guy who was doing my garden as i was accused of an affair etc. It also turned out that he had a relationship with someone at his ex work AND he was still seeing his supposed ex wife. I gave him an ultimatum and although he said he had finished with both he was constantly seeing them and would ring me to say they were sobbing and upset (which he was obviously enjoying) At first he was very attentive - he started doing things around the house but he was worse than hopeless and was causing more damage - thats when he started to change - criticism was met with endless sulking - he just went cold and could keep it up for weeks. Our love life was bizarre - he would not say 'making love' he stated it did not exist and for him that was true - he masturbated in bed alongside me, he watched porn alot, i only got attention when i cried which obviously turned him on! But still i continued, starting to believe it was ME. Eventually he got a job - no money was forthcoming - he spent it all on himself unless it looked like i had had enough, whereupon he would immediately offer attention and presents. At no stage did he discuss the future.
