Rob Jackson Consulting Ltd: Why I write and why I want to ...

One of my goals when I started Rob Jackson Consulting Ltd. has been writing more. For many years, I worked in organizations where my workload meant that I did not have time to do everything written on the management of volunteers or volunteer or any of the other topics I felt moved to comment publicly. Sometimes it became difficult because my opinion does not always agree with the policy of the organization and, if expressed, could have caused problems for colleagues who work to support and influence others. To help build and field. For most of my writings, I'm not paid, I do as a volunteer. Why? Because I am passionate about volunteering and the invaluable work of those who operate and manage volunteers and volunteer programs. When I started in the field, I have benefited greatly from the writings of others, leaders such as Susan Ellis, Steve McCurley, Rick Lynch, Jayne Cravens, Ivan Scheier and Linda Graff (to name a few ). Now I can share knowledge and experience I have developed since 1994 and contribute to the field myself. "Pay it Forward" in action. From personal experience, I know how busy life day to day manager of a volunteer may be. It can be a role with the requirements of isolating mounting up daily from volunteers, colleagues, managers, potential volunteers and leaders of the organization. Therefore, it can be difficult to carve out time to reflect during the day - time to reflect on some of the major issues facing volunteering. And if we can build over time, through this blog I hope to provide some food for thought for colleagues in the field of volunteering.I hope that I write on topics of interest to those engaged in their professional lives.
