Lady GaGa frequently shocks and stuns audiences, usually for her outlandish performances and truly unique sense of style, but few could have guessed that one of her prized possessions would be a sofa. In a recent magazine interview, Lady GaGa proclaimed that she is obsessed with her sofa because it reminds her of an ex-boyfriend. The chart-topping star is said to be so besotted with her sofa that she has written a song about it. The track, ‘You and I’, features on her latest album and includes a lyric especially dedicated to the sofa. Hollywood actor Tom Cruise also helped to raise the profile of the sofa, when he hit the headlines in 2005 after appearing on Oprah Winfrey’s US chat show bouncing frantically on the sofa proclaiming his love for girlfriend Katie Holmes. When asked about his new leading lady by the famous host, Cruise leapt to his feet and started jumping up and down on the couch and publicly broadcasting his love. In interviews, Cruise has since stated that he was merely trying to entertain the audience and have some fun, but his overenthusiastic performance raised eyebrows all over the world, especially as the romance was still in its fledgling phase. Six years later, Tom and Katie are still together, they have a child and they are still very much in love, which goes to show that Tom wasn’t exaggerating that much after all. Staging has always been an integral part of any artist’s show at a major festival or awards ceremony; who could forget Lady GaGa’s entrance to the 2011 Grammy Awards when she hatched from a giant egg? British singer Jessie J did not fail to impress at this year’s V Festival, when she emerged from the wings in a daring futuristic outfit and took her place on an ultra glamorous, plush red lips sofa.

Another type of bed item designed as part of a sofa can be found in the corner sofa or L-shaped sofa unit. This particular design might use the long chaise section as the bed area or it may also have a frame that can be extended.

The brown leather will be available in several different shades ranging from a deep chocolate color to a light tan. Brown is an earth tone that can be placed in rooms that use other earth tones in the color scheme or in rooms with neutral colors such as cream and beige. You will see leather couches in several other colors besides brown, which may include sofas in white or black leather. As a color in designing a room, brown has a warmer, softer feel to it than the white or black colors do. The deluxe recliner models of the brown sofa are often used in rooms where people want to relax in comfort.

The leather used to cover the various sofas is a softer type of leather than what was used many years ago. The surface will have a smooth texture that is both appealing and inviting people to sit on. Modern furniture covered with this softer leather material is also padded to be more comfortable than some of the furniture from past decades. The couches covered in leather that is brown colored are available as long sectional sofas and as loveseat sofas so they can easily fit into the space you have available in your home.
