SISC at 21: From dreams to realities
MANILA, Philippines - Twenty-one years, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) started with the dream of offering an international pre-school program designed to address the multiple intelligences of students.

Halloween Activities, Using Classroom Technology & Multiple ...
Shhh ... do not tell anyone because I would never want to sound like a killjoy, but I have to say quietly that the holidays were never a favorite moment in the classroom for me. I do not know, 30 children wired to the excitement, sugar, and costumes ... what I miss?
So in that spirit, I have always tried to sneak in learning activities that disguise of holidays! When I was a teacher like my festivals strong "activity center" where students moved from one activity to another.Children know how to do this routine in normal class and the madness minimized.
Holiday activities can still meet content and technology standards yet be disguised as holiday activities. Indeed, many activities better school than we can remember from our childhood are probably activities that we enjoyed all, and if we thought very hard, we would find learning behind the scenes.
Keep multiple intelligences in mind, we can have students engaged in activities that meet those intelligences while celebrating the "second most popular holiday" Halloween. We can focus on Internet research and information collection while learning about the history of Halloween. After all, is reading and gathering information to share with others is an important skill. Students use visual and spatial intelligence can create an imaginary map of Transylvania and include a list of items needed and areas with a key, compass rose, and the title.

Design recipes for potions Halloween and then changing the amount of ingredients to serve 15, 30, or 5 people inspire minds logical / math involved!
