Hurricane Irene has little impact in Franklin County
“Franklin County received anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of rain in the two-day period,” Craig Evanego, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in State College, said this morning. “They received more just east of you. Two-day totals in Lancaster County were anywhere from 3.5 to 6 inches of rain. The Harrisburg area measured 2.87 inches.” “Today will be partly sunny with highs in the 70s,” he said. “Tonight will be clear and much cooler, with lows in the 40s. It will feel more like fall Tuesday morning. The highs will climb back into the 80s Tuesday and Wednesday.
