OKLAHOMA CITY - 9 News coverage of wildfire Thursday to Noble has attracted the attention of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and many of our viewers.
News 9 viewers watched live as an angry man waved off a Blackhawk helicopter to take water from a pond in Noble. Many viewers were outraged by his reaction, while others asked whether the government could legally take the water, even fire fighting.
9 News has learned today, workers no longer believe the man pointed a gun at the helicopter. However, it could still face charges in state and local levels.

No one News 9 spoke with on Friday says what the man did was correct. But legally speaking, could he have been a victim?
A chorus of voices flooded in Thursday about the man who family members confirm is 30-year-old Jason Dollarhide.
It is unknown if the man in the video owns the property, but some still ask hypothetical questions, such as, what if he needed the water for cattle?
After a short investigation, the FBI is now off the case.
"After gathering some of the facts from [agents], we determined there was no federal violation," said special agent Clay Simmonds of the FBI. "At this time, there's no reason to believe that the individuals fired any shots at the helicopter."
While federal charges are not likely, the man could still be charged with a felony for interfering with a fire fight.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures," said Irvin Box, criminal defense attorney and News 9 legal analyst.
Box says a landowner would have a hard time taking the government to court over criminal trespass charges.
"I'm not sure that there is something on the books that specifically says they can or they can not do it," Box said, referring to the government's authority or lack of power to the water. "I do not think there's any judge anywhere, state or federal, that will say it's wrong to do. They can say that there may be some minimal damage.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says they're no longer investigating a report that someone may have pointed a firearm at a National Guard helicopter that was helping fight a fire in Noble.
Trooper Betsy Randolph said Saturday the FBI had interviewed the owner of the property where the incident occurred and investigators say the man involved told them he was waving a fishing pole, not a rifle. No firearm was found.
Authorities say the pilot thought he had seen someone pointing a rifle at the aircraft as it retrieved water from a pond to dump on the blaze Thursday. The fire forced the evacuation of Noble High School and nearby homes and charred about 300 acres of land.
Randolph says the FBI and the OHP are no longer pursuing the case.
