Anyone under the age of 30 can say goodbye to any hope of Social Security. It's toast. Not that they should worry. They've decades of productive working years left to accumulate wealth.
That's the good news.
Several months ago, we wrote, " For the Sake of the Children, Let Social Security Die ." You'd have thought we posted Jack Kevorkian's secrets to longevity... readers were less than enthused.
We've avoided that subject since.
The hard truth ruffled too many feathers, but the point is that unless something is done, when you need it most, you'll have nothing in your retirement account or Social Security to sustain you.
Unfortunately, over the last 30 days, we've seen three shots fired that are heading directly at the head of your Social Security and retirement savings.
What's Affecting Your Retirement Savings?Current retirees face an uphill battle, but the real pain will be felt by 40- and 50-year-olds who have socked away money, reduced debt and bought into the rhetoric of either political party.
