Gray Hair Growing

Welcome to the Middle Ages

As parents everywhere rejoice in the beginning of a new school year, I find myself looking forward to the cooler weather that autumn brings. Enough already with the Humidity Festival of 2011, the earthquakes and hurricanes! I’ve had it with tank tops, shorts and swimsuits. I am ready to root around in my attic for sweaters and jeans. But I have a problem.

Between climate change and menopause, I may never wear wool again.

Many women out there know what I’m talking about. It is one of the sad truths of being a middle-aged woman: You will have hot flashes, you will have insomnia, you will accept the fact that you’ve gone up three dress sizes and pretend there’s nothing you can do about it.

I’m through the worst of it, I hope. The night sweats are a thing of the past. I no longer wake up at 3 a.m. and watch infomercials because I can’t sleep. Okay. I DID buy a Magic Bullet Deluxe Set and something called Abdominal Phenomenal , but that was at the height of my menopausal madness when I was averaging about four hours of sleep per night. Sleeplessness can make you do crazy things, am I right?

Instead of rejoicing that I now seem to be on the other side of menopause, I am perplexed by the permanent changes my body has gone through:

1) I now sweat uncontrollably. I am not talking about those cute little beads of sweat that used to park on my upper lip. I am talking about a full-body sweat experience that no antiperspirant/deodorant combo can control. I sweat like a hunk of rancid pork. It is not a pretty sight.

2) I’m growing a beard. Yep, it’s true. I find myself longing for the day when circus sideshows crisscrossed the country. At least then I would be gainfully employed. Perhaps I should move to Afghanistan. Wearing a burka might not be such a bad idea after all.

3) I am now sweating for every woman in Moorestown.

4) My gray hair has a mind of its own. One day after being dyed, it defiantly reappears. Not only that, but the gray hairs have a totally different texture and attitude. It is almost as if they’re laughing at my attempts to color them.

Are YOU Looking for GROWING OUT GRAY HAIR? | Hairstyling Guide

Advanced hair products to revitalize and promote growing out gray hair, while helping stabilize pigmentation (melanin) and improving growth.

As we age, and mores specifically as follicles gray, they lose melanin and normal hydration – slowly stripping color, moisture and strength.  The result…increased brittleness, damage, loss of control and invariably rapid graying.

What Products Should You Choose?

Our experience and feedback from customers is shampoos and conditioners formulated with Emu Oil work best.  Emu Oil is a popular ingredient used both in hair and skin care.  This improves pliability, scalp health, and most importantly, promotes accelerated growth while helping stabilize loss of color and protecting pigment loss.

Gray hair loses moisture, granted, and got that.  Emu Oil is loaded with deep penetrating Omega 3′s.  It is known to “awaken” the follicles and has been used by many to help reduce the onset of gray hair and to promote growth of new, healthy pigment-rich follicles.

Increasing Growth Rate

As an alternative, if faster or longer growth is desired, we recommend shampoos or conditioners that contain Trichogen.  Trichogen is a complex of 14 herbal extracts that increase blood flow to the scalp, improve protein bonding with amino acids and rice proteins, and add strength and moisture with either Panthenol or Jojoba Oil.

If growing out gray hair is on you’re agenda, a regimen that revitalizes growth while stabilizing or slowing melanin loss may be the best products for you.
