Hatch: Let's look at unauthorized workers, tax credits

“With our debt standing at over $14.5 trillion and counting, it’s outrageous that the IRS is handing out refundable tax credits, which are spending through the tax code, to those who aren’t even eligible to work in this country,” Hatch said in a statement.

The Treasury Department’s Inspector General for Tax Administration report , released Thursday, found that unauthorized workers' claims for the child credit had risen swiftly, with claims standing at $924 billion in 2005. Better yet terminate the Low-income Tax Credit, which a recent report from the IRS Inspector’s office claimed has something like a 25% fraud rate. Also a lot of high-income taxpayers seem to strongly oppose paying higher taxes because they object to the low-income tax credit. Therefore that tax credit seems nothing short of an epic disaster. Why are you more worried about the tax credit they are claiming instead of doing something about the 8 million illegal workers in this country, how they are coming in, why are they not deported, how are American companies hiring them without any enforcement of immigration laws? This government is failing all the unemployed in the USA and failing all the taxpayers who see their dollars going to waste for the most part. Jim, I totally agree with you, but I think your estimate of the number of illegal workers in the country is very low. For years, we have been told that there are 12 million illegals in the country. That would mean that there have been no additional "invaders" for the last 5-10 years. Truth be told, I believe it's more like 30-35 million. I have noticed that all of the pro-amnesty people attempt to drop the number trying to have us believe it's now "only" 10 or 11 million, hoping the American people are too stupid to know they are being fed lies. The IRS reported it has issued 10.

Online USA casinos » Post Topic » Why is counting cards illegal

It doesnt seem to be really cheating, you arent looking at other peoples cards or looking at the deck. All you are doing is calculating the probabilities of getting certain cards. It seems to mean to me that all that is going on is that the Casino owners pushed the law on to the government just to keep making disgusting profits. the casinos take every chance they can get to cheat us out of money, and we cant even employ a completely fair strategy to help us win

i dont think it is, how can they tell if your counting? Its not illegal. There is no law that you can get charged with if you count cards.

However, there is also no law that says the Casino has to let you gamble at their tables. Their job is to make money, and if they think you have an edge that gives you an advantage… they aren’t going to let you gamble there. n the United States, card counting without an outside device is completely legal. There are no provisions in the rules of blackjack or United States law that prohibit card counting.

casinos are allowed to do this because the casino is private property, and the owner can decide who is allowed to enter. Your assessment is correct. While you are doing nothing wrong that any other person could do, the “House” doesn’t like people who part them from money, while the House enjoys parting us from our money. This is why I don’t go to these places. The “House” has the advantage, ALWAYS. Well you just answered your own question, casinos pushed the law of counting cards just so they can cheat money out of anybody. to be honest i never will go to a casino and i think the reason why gambling is illegal outside of a casnio i think is because casinos want you to go to them to lose your money instead of just gambling at home but people do that anyway even though its “illegal” and im still wondering if its so illegal then why do people sell playing cards, slot machines, poker chips, russian roulletes, and even shot glasses at toy stores? so kids can go to casinos when they become adults thats why it sounds crazy but think about it i mean toy stores even sell beer pong cups (Without the beer of course)XD It is not illegal. In fact I had a conversation with a pit boss about this the other day and he told me that the casino welcomes people who try. The casino pretty much cuts the decks sooner to take any advantage away. He told me that after the card counting movie came out, he saw an increase of income from the blackjack tables.
